My faith has been greatly changed by focusing on what Jesus taught, commanded and modeled as we have that in the Gospel accounts.
Jesus' Good News is centered on living Agape Love. It is HIS Great Commandment.
If we follow Jesus, we will live what Jesus taught, commanded and lived.
Read the Gospels.
Focus on what the Gospels share as Jesus' words.
Jesus, the fulfiller of the Law and Prophets, Redeemer, Savior and Lord, reveals God's Will in the New Covenant of Grace and Love, reflects Kingdom Values that are meant to be lived in THIS PART of God's Kingdom.
Read the XII Imperatives (OK, XI and I hortatory subjuctive) that I have shared in this blog.
Then, go through the Gospels and re-read Jesus' words, focusing on His Imperative Mood statements. These are COMMANDS by the Lord you claim to follow.
Now, LIVE what Jesus commands.
It is not hard to understand what Jesus commands. It is hard to live.
You can spend the rest of your life learning how to live the Agape Love that Jesus commands in every aspect of your life. That is the path. THAT is what it means to follow Jesus.
Is Jesus the Lord of your life? Follow Him - what Jesus taught, commanded and modeled.
